Jim’s career in human resource management and human capital development has been forged in various corporate environments representing medical devices, industrial products, satellite telecommunications, packaging, chemicals and financial services.
He has 20 years international leadership experience during which he has developed expertise in creating and sustaining organisation cultures in which people align their efforts to company objectives resulting in superior, sustainable business performance. His record of achievement also covers mergers, acquisitions, divestments, consolidations and business transformations, including the introduction of global enterprise systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of people management and development frameworks, and simplifying transactional HR.
He is equally familiar with large, medium and small sized multi-national businesses, and latterly has worked for US owned corporations with significant interests outside of the USA.
Jim’s focus in supporting the achievement of company goals is on the creation and maintenance of systemic, holistic approaches to people development and people management frameworks. Consistent with his passion for developing the capacity and capability of organisations through its people, Jim has also successfully transformed his HR teams to deliver high added value to their internal customers beyond daily transactional processes and reactive responses to issues and challenges.
Throughout his senior career, he has been involved in M&A, most recently leading on the HR aspects of a $1.2bn acquisition spanning 18 countries which was successfully integrated within 12 months.
Given his extensive interactions over many years with senior business leaders, Jim has developed a highly credible reputation as a confidante, trusted adviser, mentor and coach.
